London, 16 July 2024. Fintex Capital, the innovative investment firm specialising in Private Debt, announces the completion of a c. £20 million asset-backed debt facility to one of the largest operators in UK Education.
Secured on UK freehold assets valued at more than £60 million, this 3-year facility benefits from unusually low loan-to-value ratios. The borrower’s business is asset rich and profitable, and Fintex has taken security over all of the group’s operations and its property assets. This term loan refinances all existing debt from a UK high street bank. It also provides working capital to the group’s profitable business and capex support for its sizeable estate.
The transaction was funded by Fintex Capital’s flagship fund, Fintex Private Debt. This landmark transaction is the largest UK debt facility Fintex has provided in its successful 6-year history.
Robert Stafler, Fintex CEO, said: “This landmark loan showcases our firm’s capability in executing complex direct lending transactions. We faced stiff competition from other lenders, and I am pleased our borrower recognised how reliable and committed a partner we are. Over the past 6 years, our firm has made an excellent name for itself as a sophisticated, reliable UK lender with proven capabilities in complex transactions, across Real Estate and Specialty Finance. This facility illustrates our commitment to supporting our clients’ growth, and also shows our ambition in delivering on our own growth targets.”
